How can you change your habits?

If it is not possible to control all your habits, it is certainly possible to take charge of your habits. Controlling yourself can instigate your inner rebel but being in charge can avail co-operation from all aspects of your personality. We inherently resist change. So take one step at a time and start making a difference. The beginning can be with the change in the way you brush your teeth. Later you can change the way you eat your food. Start making consistent and persistent shifts till the time your habits shift totally. Offer better alternatives.

e.g. If there is a desire to have alcohol in the evening, out of boredom, instead of controlling alcohol, figure out the way of enjoying alcohol-free entertainment possibilities.


If you have a craving as well as the habit of eating sugar and sweets, instead of control, find out a limited way of indulging with natural sweeteners which will add enough nutrient values as well.

You could be quite creative in taking charge of your life, habits, and routine. One small step at a time can go a long way.
