Welcome to Embers and Wind!

In describing how this episode will be different, podcast host Keith Weedman states “I will share some of the best ideas from four recent guests with the intent of bringing more value to you. I will blend in my expertise 1) that knowledge, like beliefs can be limiting; 2) thatyou can change your selection criteria for the knowledge that you choose to apply from accuracy to useful, which knowledge, that fits reality, is the most useful; and 3) that people often confuse acquiring knowledge with applying knowledge to build skills. I am going to focus this episode on key ideas from Episode #49, Eric Feinendegen is a Distinguished Toastmaster, TEDx Speaker, skilled keynote speaker, and certified leadership coach. His message is ‘Strategies to Lead an Inspired Life’. Episode #48, Ant Blair is a skilled Toastmaster, TEDx Speaker, skilled keynote speaker. His message is ‘Keep Your Eyes on the Prize’. Episode #47 Sonja Martinovic is a certified high-performance coach.  Her message is ‘Pursue Your True Self’. Episode #44, Noelle Turner is a retired professor of musical theater. She lives in Essen, Germany. Her message is ‘Without Rotary… I Wouldn’t Be Here’.

In this episode, host Keith Weedman highlights the best ideas he’s learned from these four guests that he believes will be most helpful to you. He acknowledges Eric Feinendegen has reached the finals twice in Toastmasters International’s annual World Championship of Public Speaking. He acknowledges Eric is a certified leadership coach trained by John Maxwell. Keith explains that a certified coach is trained to not give answers, ask open-ended, probing questions, help people solve their own problems, own their solutions, and learn how to solve future problems. Keith recognizes Ant Blair as a skilled Toastmaster with expertise in diversity and inclusion who inspires his African American brothers and sisters to gain access and encourages Caucasians to provide access. Keith talks about certified coach Sonja Martinovic and her dual niche helping entrepreneurs become high performers and helping coaches grow their coaching business. Her expertise includes quantum physics, NLP, mindset, and intuition. Keith shares that Noelle Turner’s message is different because her focus is to give back to Rotary for helping her study the opera in Germany in 1976 after obtaining her master’s degree at Indiana University. She notes Rotary’s motto, Service Above Self is also for self because serving others helps Rotarians succeed. Keith shares about himself and his business acknowledging he will never pursue certification as a coach because his passion is to share the knowledge and skills he has acquired over decades to help leaders solve their employee engagement problem by learning how to effect change that elevates both engagement and performance through brief interactions.
