There was a time when I used to help others constantly without anything in return. As I gotten more experienced in this life it became foolish to help and pour into people that hardly poured back into me. It's not necessarily a transactional thing it's more of a principle thing because the feeling of resentment is inevitable within those type of one-way friendships/relationships. I learned that I wasn't selfish enough with my time, energy, and resources to build and use towards myself to even have the means to give at any capacity. Is being more selfish is the answer?
