After attending a 25th college reunion and a 5th grade graduation in less than a week, Matt riffs on the benefits of stopping to smell the roses and acknowledge the progress that one has made in this solo episode.      SHOWNOTES:   Sometimes you just have to take the risk and try something you’ve never tried before, (2:50). Celebrating milestones can help you keep on track, (3:25). Don’t knock down the opportunities to evaluate yourself and find joy and meaning, (4:50). There’s something really good for the spirit to rekindle some lost paths, (5:30). We must realize that it is important to celebrate the closing of one chapter and the beginning of another, it marks the progress of our growth and change, (7:41). There will always be a next step to life but you have to get your nose out of the ground and acknowledge your progress, (9:40). How can we make the celebration and the work, the same exact thing, if you can do that somehow, you’ve really succeeded, (10:45). Keep grinding but you also have to stop and smell the roses, (13:01). Strive to tell the most empowering story of yourself that you can, (13:10). There’s no need to be someone else but you, (13:40). “You’re going to learn some things, you’re going to forget some things, be good at some things, fail at some things, you’ll be up and down and all around, and just when you think you got the answer, you’ll be challenged by a new obstacle, but the most important thing you can learn is keep taking that next step. If you fall down, get back up, dust yourself off, keep going, (14:15). Dr. Seus said, “You'll get mixed up, of course, as you already know. You'll get mixed up with many strange birds as you go. So be sure when you step. Step with care and great tact and remember that Life's a Great Balancing Act. Just never forget to be dexterous and deft. And never mix up your right foot with your left”, (15:02).      LINKS:    Matthew Del Negro: https://www.10000nos.com/episodes/ep-92-what-you-do-when-no-one-is-watching-is-what-you-get-rewarded-for-later   Matthew Del Negro:    https://www.10000nos.com/episodes/ep-91-how-to-let-go-of-a-no-so-it-doesnt-control-younbsp   Twitter: https://twitter.com/MatthewDelNegro   Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/mattydel/   Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/matthew.delnegro2   More About Matt: https://www.imdb.com/name/nm0215682/    Zander Fryer: https://www.10000nos.com/episodes/ep-46-sht-you-dont-learn-in-college-zander-fryer?rq=zander   Cathy Heller: https://www.10000nos.com/episodes/ep-69-dont-keep-your-day-jobs-purpose-finder-cathy-heller?rq=cathy   Rob Whitaker:   https://www.10000nos.com/episodes/ep-5-cancer-schmancer-rob-whitaker?rq=rob     If you like what you hear, please Subscribe, leave an iTunes review and spread the word.
