The Majority of UK-ers are atheist now (calling themselves “religionless”). It’s 51% up from 35% just 25 years ago. And now 71% of 18-24 year olds are atheist, up from 62% just last year. What earthly cause is to blame for this metastasis of unbelief? Charles Darwin broke the 2,000 year hold of the “fixed and the final” on the minds of the Western world (according to John Dewey anyway). We also discover that 19% of pastors in America are Young Earth creationists, and only 13% of big church pastors would claim the title. Why is this?
