Today the senate is voting on bill S1 -- also known as the For the People Act. A massive overhaul of the U.S. election law in at least a generation. If the bill passes it would create new national automatic voter registration that asks voters to opt-out rather than opt-in, ensuring more people will be signed up to vote.
