What’s your personality type? We all have different personality traits and even quirks that make us unique in how we show up in the world.
I’ll confess: my personality can be a bit eclectic at times, and I get it, not everyone loves other personality types. And that’s okay.
When it comes to creating and sharing content as a speaker, coach, consultant, podcaster, YouTuber, whatever-er, you also have a Content Personality, as my friend Shannon Hernandez says.
I can’t take any credit for this concept. It was Shannon who first introduced me to this idea. I believe there are five main Content Personality Types: Written, Audio, Video, Live Content, and Visual Content.
You may love writing, but if someone tells you that you HAVE to start a podcast, that may be terrifying to you because you don’t feel comfortable in front of a microphone. If it doesn’t feel exciting to you, of course, you don’t have to create that type of content.
Finding your Content Personality is about identifying what style of content just makes you come alive. Today is about trying a few different content types, like going on Facebook Live or sending an audio recording to your crowd through an email. Give yourself the grace not to feel super comfortable at first, but after a few times, you may be surprised!
