Although being a #scrummaster is all about servant leadership, a lot of people are curious about how to stand out as a scrum master and make a positive impression on both the team as well as the organisation.
It isn't easy to do.
First, any successes achieved by the team are going to make the team shine rather than the scrum master.
In #scrum, you are focused on creating an environment where the team can excel rather than specific individuals within the #scrumteam.
That isn't to say that you can't be great at your job. Being great at your job is one of your primary responsibilities as a scrum master.
So how do you do a great job for your team and receive the recognition that you are due for investing so much time and effort in becoming the best version of yourself that you can be?
John McFadyen has worked as both a Scrum Master and an #agilecoach on some of the largest, most complex #agiletransformations in both the UK and Europe.
He has worked in some of the highest performing #agile and #scrumteams in the world.
We caught with him and asked him how you could stand out as a scrum master within your own organisation. In this short video, John explains how you can do just that.
