In this episode we introduce the idea of thought staples to our audience. Thought staples are phrases we use to train the unconscious mind. We repeat them over and over again in our thoughts to help the unconscious mind value a new belief. The specific thought staples we use to help us no longer feel the need to live in survival mode is: “When was the last time right now was really that bad.” By doing this, we train our unconscious mind to constantly reframe the definition of bad to something far worse than our current situation giving us space to find things in our life to be grateful for even in our current situation. Expanding this space for gratitude in our life is the fuel needed to jump start us out of our current situation into a better one.
