Often times when discussing God's sovereignty, Calvinists and non-Calvinists operate from differing definitions. The Calvinist defines sovereignty as God’s absolute and meticulous sovereignty over all things that come to pass. The non-Calvinist defines sovereignty as God’s influence or power to intervene in history or override men’s choices, but in no way is it actually a sovereign decree where God controls not only the ends but the means as well. Does God "limit" His sovereignty by "relunctantly allowing" people to make free choices? Or does God absolutely and meticulously govern everything that happens in the universe? Dr. Sean Cole discusses the stark differences in how we define God's sovereignty.
