How should Christians navigate life in this challenging world? In light of the controversial 2024 Olympic Games Opening Ceremony, Andrew Selley, visionary leader of Joshua Generation Church and Four12 Global, explores how we can reflect Jesus in our response to the world around us.  

He reminds us that Christ being mocked is not new, and points us to Jesus’ response - ‘Father, forgive them, for they know not what they are doing’ (Luke 23:34). This is the heart of God - not to condemn the world, but to save the world (John 3:17). And He desires for us, as the church, to carry the same heart - to love our enemies, pray for those who persecute us (Mat 5:44), and offer God’s message of mercy, forgiveness and reconciliation. Our true enemy is not people, but spiritual forces, and we must resist the temptation to fight the wrong battles.
