π The future of global relations looks pretty complex and interesting at this stage. Other than countries playing their individual role towards building a better world, there is a big role to be played by bodies such as the United Nations, IMF, European Union, World Bank, BRICS, G20 and Quad in the near future.
π€ It is thus important to go back in time and understand the importance of these bodies and why they were formed. What was the purpose behind forming these bodies? Take the United Nations as an example. It was formed after the World War 2 to ensure peace between countries while maintaining the new world order. What is it doing now on the Russia Ukraine war? Nothing.
π’ These institutions have always been run by the rich Western countries. And rightly so, the countries have been demanding that these bodies such as the United Nations, the World Bank and the IMF are not representative of what they feel. Some important and emerging nations such as India, Brazil, South Africa and Germany have got very less say on whatβs happening in these bodies.
π If these bodies are unrepresented and dominated primarily by the US, they will never reveal the true picture of the new world. Unless we start revamping these key institutions, there is going to be very little hope for humankind.
