In a waterfall-style #projectmanagement environment, a #projectmanager is often the person who chases team members to deliver tasks in alignment with a predetermined schedule.  

In #agile environments, such as a #scrum team, many people expect that the #scrummaster plays a similar role and your interviewer may be trying to understand how you are going to ensure that items which are flagged for follow up are actioned.  

In this short video, John McFadyen explains why a scrum master is not directly involved in chasing developers for updates on items actioned and how they can use their influence and capabilities to help the team be held accountable for actioning items agreed in the sprint retrospective or review.
