We currently store a lot of our energy in liquid fuels, and when we burn the fuel, we release a lot of other stuff we don't like to breath, so what's the real story behind fossil fuels? The answer is to convert to electricity for energy, it's that easy.  But how do we store the same amount of electrical energy as we currently do in oil and natural gas? Batteries?  Flywheels?
