How does a W-4 form work? Because a lot of times it can be very confusing. In fact, I’ve always thought that maybe they should rethink the top section of it. Because when it starts asking you are you head of household? Do you do this do you do that? Next thing you know someone’s actually single and zero but they’re claiming single in two or three because they feel some of those apply to them. It’s very simple as far as I’m concerned, especially though, if you’re a married couple and you’re both making more than $50,000-$60,000. Most likely one of you is going to have to claim married and zero, maybe the other one single and zero, to have enough withholding. Make sure you don’t mess up on your withholdings.
