The phrase Tikkum Olam is a Hebrew expression which means to repair the world. Unfortunately, like the word love, it is overused and often takes on a more negative connotation. Also, like the expression Social Justice, Tikkum Olam is used often to excuse the excesses of the Left. When these terms are employed to criticize Israel or to put down Conservative values they lose their true meaning. Often the Left condones the destruction of those principles (true social justice) that has kept Western Civilization together all these centuries.
