Yesterday morning an early morning fire near the Georgia Viaduct destroyed or damaged 4 homes. The blaze began in an empty house, but spread to the home next door. When firefighters opened the door, believing the resident was still inside, they came across a hoarding situation so bad they weren’t able to enter. Luckily, the resident was able to escape with the help of a neighbour. However - this got us wondering - how do firefighters deal with the homes of hoarders? If a home is too cluttered, will they not enter at all to save those who may still be inside?
