Forensic experts estimate time of death using four main post-mortem signs: pallor mortis (paleness), algor mortis (body cooling), rigor mortis (muscle stiffening), and livor mortis (blood pooling). Each occurs at predictable intervals after death and helps narrow down the timeframe. While these methods aren't perfectly precise, they provide crucial clues for investigations, influenced by factors like environment and clothing.
