Courage is not the absence of fear. It is choosing to trust God even when the path in front of us feels impossible. In this message, Pastor Phil walks through Joshua 1:1–9, where Joshua is called to lead the nation of Israel after the death of Moses and to guide them across the Jordan River into the Promised Land. Faced with an overwhelming responsibility and an impossible situation, God gives Joshua a clear command that is repeated throughout the passage: “Be strong and courageous.”This sermon explores what happens when believers step forward in courage and trust the promises of God. Through Joshua’s example, we are reminded that courage begins with submitting to God’s purposes, trusting His promises, standing on His commands, and making His Word the foundation of our lives. When we choose to trust God with the “Jordans” in front of us, the things that seem impossible, God responds with His presence, His provision, and His promises that never fail.
