There are two things you need to understand about NFTs:
1- Millions of people are trading with them- but most of them are just trying to make a quick buck.
2- What NFTs could do for society, for technology, and for the web is fantastic. They could help break our reliance on tech giants like Facebook, and Google and help us move forward. For the better. I firmly believe that.
For the past few weeks, I’ve been getting deeper and deeper into this rabbit hole, and I was constantly left in awe. Because of the speculation, the price manipulation happening right now around NFTs - might just ruin this fantastic piece of technology for everyone.
So many people trading with NFTs don’t understand them, are not innovating with them, are not coming up with new ways to leverage the blockchain. So many of them are jumping in to try to find the next collection going viral, drawing the price up… and then flipping it.
But I’m getting ahead of myself. Before I dive into that rabbit hole (and I will), in this video I want you to understand NFTs, and more importantly, what they could mean for the future of the internet.
