CEO Chronicles

How hard is it to build a GREAT team?

Listen Later

As entrepreneurs, we sometimes start things off ourselves and often run things ourselves and consequently forget about the importance of having a team. With Women Travel Abroad, Karamel has been talking a lot about building a team, especially in the form of getting a trip coordinator. We also talk about how most entrepreneurs need social media managers, and we give several personal examples of how and why it's important to have a team.

We also talk about the advantages and the disadvantages of having W-2 employees vs. 1099 employees, some of the “rules” around being an effective leader, and what kind of leaders we are with our teams. We discuss the challenges and the obstacles that come with building a team and the problems that sometimes have to be preemptively solved before they became bigger problems.

It's so important to consider what kind of team that you want to build and for the people that work with you to be flexible, adaptable, and trainable. As always, we appreciate you tuning in and encourage you to reach out to us via the email address provided in the show notes if you have anything that you would like to share with us! We would really love to hear from you! Until next time!
