Hattie Kolp is an Instagram and TikTok influencer who is most known for her gem of an NYC apartment, which she has fully remodeled to better reflect the feel of the 19th century (when it was built!). Besides creating content that revolves around home improvement tips and NYC itineraries, Hattie is also a teacher for special education students in the city.
In this episode, I sit down with her to talk a little about how she manages to cultivate a "slow lifestyle" in a place like New York (hint: lots and lots of walks and the occasional matcha latte on her rooftop). As a native New Yorker, Hattie has never felt many of the pressures people do when they first move to the city. However, she appreciates the fact that burnout is a very real side effect of being a successful, working woman in a fast-paced urban environment and shares personal tips on how to combat it.
I am beyond grateful to have Hattie be my first ever guest on the show and I hope that you, upon listening to the episode, can take something away from her wisdom, openness, and generosity.
Here's to building slower lifestyles with intention!
