Andrew Miller is the colorblind tulip farmer behind Tulip Valley Farms, a blooming success born from a bold career change in 2019. Despite being red-green colorblind, Andrew fell in love with every aspect of tulip farming—from the growing to the business and the joy it brings to others. His passion lies in creating a meaningful, shared experience rooted in beauty and community. ⁣ A Mount Vernon native, Andrew served in the U.S. Air Force, earned multiple graduate degrees, and held roles at Amazon and Expedia before returning home with his wife, Holly, and their six children. Together, they launched Tulip Valley Farms, where Holly—dubbed the “Chief Color Officer”—leads design and color planning. ⁣ Planted in 2023, the farm has faced challenges but continues to grow as a destination for visitors from around the world. For Andrew, farming tulips isn’t about seeing every color perfectly—it’s about creating something unforgettable.
