You're working harder than anyone around you. Longer hours. More responsibility. Higher standards.
You're crushing your goals. Checking the boxes. Doing everything "right."
So why aren't you where you want to be?
Why does success feel exhausting instead of exhilarating?
Why does every win feel hollow?
Here's why: You're sabotaging yourself.
And the reason you can't see it is because your self-sabotage looks like success.
In this episode, I'm revealing the 5 patterns that got you here—and why they're the ones keeping you stuck.
---
IN THIS EPISODE YOU'LL LEARN:
• Why self-sabotage in high-achieving women doesn't look like failure—it looks like success
• The paradox that keeps you blind to your own patterns
• My story: How I believed I could have success OR satisfaction, never both (and why I picked what felt necessary)
• The 5 self-sabotage patterns I see most in high-achieving women
• How these patterns are entangled (like a ball of yarn you can't untangle)
• The Soul Inventory framework—3 questions to identify your patterns
• How to shift from Chapter 1 strategies to Chapter 2 success
• What success WITH satisfaction actually looks like (time, money, joy—having it all)
---
THE 5 SELF-SABOTAGE PATTERNS:
**PATTERN #1: PERFECTIONISM**
Rooted in: Control + Not-enoughness
What it looks like: High standards, attention to detail, never settling for mediocre
What it really is: "The higher you set the bar, the less you jump"
You're polishing the presentation for the 10th time while your competitor ships version 1.0 and gets the client.
You're editing the Instagram post for 45 minutes, making sure it's perfect. Someone else posts in 2 minutes and gets more engagement.
Perfectionism isn't about excellence. It's about control. It's about saying: "If I can just make this perfect, then I'll be enough. Then I'll be safe. Then I won't be criticized."
But the truth? You're keeping yourself small by making the requirements for success impossible to meet.
What it's costing you in business: You're 6 months behind on launching while everyone else is already scaling. You're missing opportunities because you're still "getting ready."
What it's costing you in life: You can't enjoy anything because nothing ever feels good enough. Not your work. Not your body. Not your home. Not even your wins.
---
**PATTERN #2: SECOND-GUESSING**
Rooted in: External approval
What it looks like: Being thoughtful, collaborative, considering all perspectives
What it really is: Crowdsourcing your confidence
This one lives in your head. It's the inner critic that freezes your momentum.
You know the answer in the meeting, but you don't speak up. You have the idea, but you wait to see what everyone else says first. You're the expert, but you're doubting yourself like you're the beginner.
Second-guessing is about giving your power away. Every time you wait for validation, you reinforce the belief that you can't trust yourself.
What it's costing you in leadership: Your team sees you hesitate and they hesitate too. You're not leading. You're managing by consensus.
What it's costing you in life: You ask 5 people their opinion, ignore your gut, and pick option 6. Then you resent everyone for not giving you the "right" answer.
