Based on the acclaimed fantasy novels and their video game adaptation, this show charts a dangerous course through the source material’s fandom and a more savvy TV audience. Also on Netflix is the completely unrelated Bollywood film Ek Ladki Ko Dekha Toh Aisa Laga. It puts an unexpected LGBT spin on the romcom format familiar to Indian and American audiences alike, and was a treat to watch.
