In episode 97 of the Better Than Success Podcast host Nicole Purvy talks with 24 year old business mogul SimDiva. Desimber (December) Alexander better known as SimDiva is a 24 year old, 3 time entrepreneur, motivational speaker and youth mentor. “SimDiva” is a self-titled brand to exemplify and display every aspect of her life. How did she begin her first business? Starting her entrepreneurship at the early age of 18 when she was a freelance hairstylist, Sim Diva knew she had the power to be successful. After doing hair for celebrities such as Tamar Braxton, Desimber realized that doing hair was not her passion. Having a special place in her heart for being a motivation to young adults, she then began working at a school. Creating an after care program for young adults was one of her many accomplishments. Furthering her entrepreneurial path, Desimber saved her money from working with a little help from her mom being an entrepreneur as well and opened her first business, PinkIce Cafe (@pinkicecafe). PinkIce Cafe became one of Philly’s hot spots and the place where you can go ‘express yourself through your taste buds’. Desimber, Sim Diva, says “Move to the beat of your own drum, you have to have tunnel vision… know what you want and stay focused to get it”. Living by this quote she then expanded her wings and opened The Shoe Bar by SimDiva (@theshoebar.bysimdiva): A modern, chic shoe bar for all local and international girl bosses. Being a leader is still her strong passion which is what lead her to the launching of "THE ICON PROJECT" mentoring course for women ages 16-25. “While networking your walk of life is really important” (30:36) Sim Diva continues to grow her entrepreneurship and leadership as a young boss with hopes of inspiring others.
