How a moment of complete darkness turned into a much-needed opening up of me and therefore let the light, that I so desperately needed at the time, peak through. This story is a throwback to my time in college and auditioning for my first professional show as a young adult.

Lessons learned from this moment:

• Trust my intuition like my life depends on it, because it does.
• Getting to see first hand at a young age that I did every single thing that I could, and in the end this should have been mine, but in a different world.
• If I'm not processing grief or hardship, when another comes along I won't be able to handle it because I'm already too backed up.
