Here is the disciples' first attempt to minister to a great need on their own.  They've been used to having Jesus around, and now they are unable to cast out a demon.  What was the problem?  Jesus said it was a lack of faith!  He is trying to prepare them to minister after He is gone back to heaven.  We can learn much from this passage that will help us walk and minister in faith as well.
