This beautiful song which I heard a few years back, touched my heart. As my life journey has been different since I turned 30, I have lost many things in this world.
On February 29, 2020, a few believers from our Church confronted me. They wanted me to leave the campus due to a dispute in our family. On March 20, 2020, I was officially stopped from being a part of the ministry, which has been my life.
I was devastated when I heard that no one wanted me in the place; where I grew up, that was the time I realised that the world would be unkind when it is supposed to give comfort. Without my parents with me, those days I desired to join them in Heaven. As days went by, I poured out myself in the presence of God. I was reminded about this song, "As the World looks upon me",
While the world looks upon me, As I struggle alone
And they say I have nothing, But they are so wrong
In my heart I'm rejoicing, And how I wish they could see
Thank You, Lord, For Your blessings on me
There's a roof up above me; I've a good place to sleep
There's food on my table, And shoes on my feet
You gave me Your love Lord And a fine family
Thank You, Lord, For Your blessings on me
I know I'm not wealthy And these clothes, they're not new
I don't have much money, But Lord I have You
And that's all that matters, Though the world may not see
Thank You, Lord, For Your blessings on me
As I was singing this song, I realised that my parents are with the Lord and my God-given family; the Church I grew up with wants me no more; that is when I realised that it's not fair to sing a lie. Hence, I changed the lyrics from "fine family" into "Everlasting Peace". Peace is more priceless than anything in this world; Peace is the greatest treasure Jesus has left for all who believe in Him.
... You gave me Your Love Lord and everlasting peace,
Thank You, Lord, for Your blessings on me.
Hope you are blessed with the Love and Peace of Jesus Christ.
