On this episode of Critical Levitical we're talking about our kids! Specifically, how sanctifying the process of parenting can be. Child-rearing is often the most practical application of our spiritual journey—we are forced to walk out the disciplines of following Jesus with our kids for their good.
Being a good parent means learning to be patient, selfless, caring, considerate, and so much more.
We'll also talk about what we can learn about preaching from Charles Spurgeon, where hermeneutics and homiletics collide, and what we can learn from the New Testament writers about extrapolating points from the text.
We'll finish with a brainstorm about Old Testament sacrifices and why God gave rules for them in the first place. Hosea 6:6 will be the focus here, as Jesus reminds us that sacrifices were never the goal, but intimacy with God and love for others is.
