Rita intervenes to finish the job after Robert fails to kill a guy and cause a car accident as directed. In the second, Stone portrays a marine biologist whose husband thinks she has been replaced by an almost exact replica after she vanishes at sea. Robert puts the impostor to the test in one of the numerous absurdist situations in the movie by making her give him her finger. When she complies, he demands her liver, only to discover her dead, her stomach slit, and her meaty organ strewn on the carpet. In the last scene, Stone is seen as a young woman who chooses to leave her family and adopt a new identity. She joins a cult and goes undercover with a fellow member who is looking for a strange young woman who has been rumored to exist.
