Being “the boss” or being responsible for an outcome produced by a group has many challenges. Today we’ll explore how leaders, who may have powerful or useful insights (we’ll call that “seeing”), can shift from communicating in ways that embody “power-over” others (e.g., “listen to me since I’m the boss”) into communicating in ways that embody sharing and co-creating “power-with” others (e.g., “let’s listen to each other, including me, since no one individual has the complete picture and answer”).
