How Long Does Your Voice Carry On After You're Gone? | Scott Mason, Casey Berman, Caleb Pearson

Listen Later

#Legacy.
Great men and women have attempted to immortalize themselves by becoming a part of #history.
Some have actively sought this lofty endeavor while others were hoisted up to it by the happenstance of their circumstances.
Julius Caesar is a name known to many if not all due to his ability to control the Roman Empire.
Harriet Tubman is known for her heroic feat of transporting slaves through the underground railroad.
Both are individuals with vastly different life experiences, but the one thing they have in common is that their names will reverberate throughout history.
Where does that leave everyone else?
Why are there only a select few of the billions that have walked this earth remembered and engraved in stone?
More importantly why does there seem to be this need to be remembered?
To have our voices carry on?
Why can’t one simply be content with the here and now?
There are those that love you after you cease to be.
The memory goes on, but eventually fades when there is no one left to carry it.
Is this an eventuality to be feared?
Do we need to leave something behind more withstanding?
Join us on October 1st, 11:45 AM EST, as we (Scott Mason, Oleg Lougheed, Caleb Pearson and Casey Berman), explore why some desire to be remembered, what is a person's legacy, and other related topics.
