How Long Have You Believed The Lie? - Episode 253

What’s holding you back what negative thought that you’ve said so much to yourself that you believe it   The devil is a liar   In John 8:44, the Word of God states specifically that the devil is not only a liar but the father of all lies: “When he lies, he speaks his native language, for he is a liar and the father of lies.”   Contrary to what he may like us to believe, the devil is a defeated foe. Since the battle with him takes place on a spiritual plane, according to Ephesians 6:12-13, we need to strengthen the battlefield — our minds — in order to stand our ground spiritually and gain victory over him. You have the power of life and death in your mouth.  You can curse or bless your self, your situation, your day.  You have the power to walk with God or reject Him,    You can ask for God's forgiveness and then forgive yourself.  You have more power than you realize, more than you use.   Because of the lies we tell ourselves we suffer and waste our life. What you identify as a lie— give it to God.  Speak life to your situation.   But beware..   You don’t have the strength to fight the devil on your own.  He could actually kill you, or help you kill yourself but he can’t ready your mind, or take your soul.  He can make you walk out of fellowship with God.  He can steal, kill and destroy your faith, and make you impotent, lost, and alone.  He can feed your doubts.   Finally, brothers and sisters, whatever is true, whatever is noble, whatever is right, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is admirable – if anything is excellent or praiseworthy – think about such things. ~Philippians 4:8   1 Corinthians 2:11-16 For who knows a person's thoughts except the spirit of that person, which is in him? So also no one comprehends the thoughts of God except the Spirit of God. Now we have received not the spirit of the world, but the Spirit who is from God, that we might understand the things freely given us by God. And we impart this in words not taught by human wisdom but taught by the Spirit, interpreting spiritual truths to those who are spiritual. The natural person does not accept the things of the Spirit of God, for they are folly to him, and he is not able to understand them because they are spiritually discerned. The spiritual person judges all things, but is himself to be judged by no one. ...   Romans 12:1-2 ESV I appeal to you therefore, brothers, by the mercies of God, to present your bodies as a living sacrifice, holy and acceptable to God, which is your spiritual worship. Do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewal of your mind, that by testing you may discern what is the will of God, what is good and acceptable and perfect.     Colossians 3:2-5 ESV  Set your minds on things that are above, not on things that are on earth. For you have died, and your life is hidden with Christ in God. When Christ who is your life appears, then you also will appear with him in glory. Put to death therefore what is earthly in you: sexual immorality, impurity, passion, evil desire, and covetousness, which is idolatry   John 8:32 - And ye shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free.   Thank you for listening.
