033 - David McBeath

DAVID MCBEATH has lived the 'rock and roll' life most people only dream about. Touring and recording in the US, getting a song in triple j's hottest 100, and pounding the skins in one of Australia's 'must see' act's of the 2000's - his band helped make the Central Coast of NSW a hot spot of live music and young up and coming bands. Hear how it all happened, from being the go to hired gun drummer to accidentally 'living the dream'.

NIKKI BRUMEN is a name that is going to be around for A LONG time! She fronts one of Australia's most hyped (and for great reason) bands - PAGAN. She's Charismatic, Smart, Passionate and most of all - a fantastic human.

I got to sit down with her before Pagan played at a local bar, right before they headed off on their 2nd trip to Europe in 6 months - to talk about (amongst other things) a very overlooked subject in todays heavy music scene - Women, and their under representation.

I got to sit down with him before Death By Stereo played at the Hamilton Station Hotel in Newcastle... The bad news, this episode got cut short because Death By Stereo were seconds away from walking onstage... the GOOD news? We're going to record Pt2 at Punk Rock Bowling in Las Vegas at the end of May, so keep an eye out for that one!!

ALISON MICHALK decided from a young age, that 9-5 wasn't for her - and she's stuck with that vision ever since. I've been lucky enough to play in ISAAC GRAHAM's band for the last 8 or so years... i remember the first time seeing him, and thinking 'i need to buy all the music he has right now!' He's one of the country's most humble artists, and as 'real' as a person can get... there's zero BS, just fantastic melodies that will get stuck in your head for days!

BEN MUCKENSCHNABL has played drums in some of the most important hardcore bands in Australia. With his passion for all kinds of music, his dedication to what ever he puts his mind to and his positive energy - there's no wonder he's been a sort after musician fro the second he started drumming. 

I do a lot of driving, and listen to a lot of Podcasts... some i'll only dive into, when i know the guest or care about the subject - and some i will listen to religiously, without fail.
