030 - ALISON MICHALK

ALISON MICHALK decided from a young age, that 9-5 wasn't for her - and she's stuck with that vision ever since. Using the lessons that punk rock taught her from a young age - she is now the founder and CEO of QUIIP, specialists in online community building, social media, high risk content and crisis management. They're also a Certified B-Corp - which means they are a business that meets the highest standards of verified social and environmental performance, public transparency, and legal accountability to balance profit and purpose.

I've been lucky enough to play in ISAAC GRAHAM's band for the last 8 or so years... i remember the first time seeing him, and thinking 'i need to buy all the music he has right now!' He's one of the country's most humble artists, and as 'real' as a person can get... there's zero BS, just fantastic melodies that will get stuck in your head for days!

BEN MUCKENSCHNABL has played drums in some of the most important hardcore bands in Australia. With his passion for all kinds of music, his dedication to what ever he puts his mind to and his positive energy - there's no wonder he's been a sort after musician fro the second he started drumming. 

I do a lot of driving, and listen to a lot of Podcasts... some i'll only dive into, when i know the guest or care about the subject - and some i will listen to religiously, without fail.

In my opinion, Dave changed the game for Australian hardcore - at a time when 'the scene' seemed to be full of division and segregation - Dave's first band - Last Nerve - seemed to win over people from all facets of Australian Hardcore, and paved the way for a lot of younger bands to have a crack at something new and fun. 

It took me a while for the planets to align to get this episode recorded - but it was so worth the wait, and i hope you enjoy it!

MARK MOLDRE doesn't fall under the usual umbrella of guests i gave on the podcast, but his story is as fantastic as his guitar playing and song writing abilities - captivating yet calming - like watching the fire place on a cold winters night, with a big glass of gin.
