Have you ever wanted to get involved with Make-a-Wish but didn't know how? Well Anna Marie has a ton of guests that will tell you exactly why your help is needed.
First, Anna speaks with Beth Torres, the President of Make-a-Wish Middle TN. Beth says that people fear the worst for kids once Make-a-Wish gets involved with them, but their involvement doesn't always mean bad news for a kid battling a life-threatening illness. If you want to help Make-a-Wish grant a wish or if you know a child battling a life-threatening illness, reach out to Make-a-Wish and they will do their best to get you involved and to make every wish happen.
Next, Anna speaks with Doug Renegar, one of the owner's of the Famous Five Dining Team. He talks about their annual charity golf tournament Birdies, Bogies and Bones which benefits multiple Make-a-Wish organizations across the country. He also shares heartwarming and heartbreaking stories that have inspired him to give back.
Finally, Anna talks to a former Make-a-Wish kid, Jordan Semani, and his father, Andrew. Jordan was diagnosed with Non-Hodgkin's Lymphoma, Stage 1, and was in remission when Make-a-Wish got involved. He says that his wish to go to ESPN's The Weekend helped get him through the hard times. The wish also really helped out his family as it brought excitement and comfort during the difficult times they were facing during the battle.
