Prior to his role at the OFI, Tim spent 11 years as the chief executive of MIDAS, Manchester's Inward Investment Agency where he oversaw the attraction of over £6 billion investment into the region.
David Newns and Dominic McGregor sat down with Tim in 2022 j before his departure from MIDAS to discuss the challenges that he overcame in Manchester and his vision for the UK going forward.
Tim speaks to David and Dominic about his time at MIDAS turning Manchester into a credible proposition to the finance sector, why infrastructure planning takes time and how he believes that free trade agreements are the key to the UK's future.
