How many children have to die in Maine?

At first blush, a Government Oversight Review gives us no answers as to why Maine's children are dying at the hands of their parents and caregivers. Is the state's appetite to keep children in homes that are dangerous one reason? As Senator Bill Diamond says: "It makes my head explode as to why some of these decisions are being made. We need transparency. Every bill I sponsor DHHS fights it. Without the transparency we can't see what is going on." The death of children will become a political football in an election year. Will anyone stand up to protect Maine's most vulnerable children?
