The number of pages you should read from a math textbook each day is not determined by speed or volume but by comprehension, because math textbooks are written densely and every paragraph often contains definitions, assumptions, and ideas that require stopping, rereading, and working examples, so for most students a realistic and effective range is two to five pages per day when studied properly, meaning you are writing notes, checking definitions, attempting problems, and making sure you could explain the idea without the book open, since reading more than that usually turns into passive exposure rather than learning and gives a false sense of progress that collapses when exams arrive.
