For the first time in years, a major snowstorm could impact an extended portion of the Carolinas on Friday and Saturday.

Starting on Friday and continuing into Saturday, snow, ice, sleet and rain are forecast for both North Carolina and South Carolina. For some places in the Carolinas, it could be the first significant snowfall in some time.
