I normally taste products live while recording, so you get to hear the whole experience, but I was in a situation…yes, I was hungry, so I ate a little something-something. And, it wasn’t until I started chewing that I realized…that…oh..yeah, I was saving this for an episode. Too little too late; I was chewing.
Remember how I said brands are doing the most with the classics? Well, this snack is a classic...remixed with a classic flavor. So, you know, it’s a win-win! You really can’t screw this up. Well, it gets progressively worse with each bite. It really does…and then I thought maybe it’s better without milk; so you know I tried it…nope, not really. That way, without the milk it just tastes weird and wrong. Then I had another thought: some almonds would really set this off. Then I remembered because you know the way that my mind works, that the flavor is honey nut. The problem is: I didn’t see or taste any nuts, but then thought I saw an almond, so I dug in again….nope, that was just a bubble in the milk.
Ooooh, the things I go through, y’all.
What should have been an obvious giveaway was that I don’t see Tony The Tiger saying “They’re greeeaaat” anywhere on this box of Kellogg’s Honey Nut Frosted Flakes. I also didn’t see or taste any frost on the flakes, either.
