In this episode we speak to Bennett Arron who is an award winning writer, comedian and BAFTA shortlisted director. He has supported Ricky Gervais on his 'Science' tour and in 1997 Arron was a finalist of the BBC New Comedy Awards alongside Peter Kay.
 
In 2007, he wrote, directed and presented the documentary How Not to Lose Your Identity for Channel 4 which was based on his own experience of identity fraud. Since then, he has been speaking at conferences all across the world to help prevent our identities being stolen. Bennett discusses these methods with us.

Hope you're all doing well. In this short episode, I explore an interesting topic today about why I don't care about seeking validation anymore.
With many of us seeking validation by our exposure online, this can affect our mental health and well-being.
So, I want to look into why we seek validation and how by analysing our surroundings and making slight adjustments can have profound impacts on us.
Since I realised that I was seeking validation from others, friends, social media, I knew changes had to be made.
Since these changes, I now feel happier and stopped seeking approval and validation.

Why I Don‘t Care About Seeking Validation Anymore

This is a different type of self development episode looking at our end goals and not living with regret in the future.
I’ve been reflecting a lot, and some things have changed recently in my life and I just want to make an episode to help with a way of shifting your mindset if you have goals but feel that something isn’t right or you haven’t set your end goal.
 
End goal means that this is the destined outcome, the final thing that you want to achieve. Not like a stepping stone leading to something else, for example I need to be confident so therefore I need to do this, then that and eventually I’ll become more confident.
 
End goal for me is the example of, that is my dream house and this is where I want to live. That’s the end goal as you want that house and that’s what you would love to have over anything.
 
This isn’t an episode looking at the differences between end goal and means goal or materialistic objects or accomplishments that money can bring. This is looking at you, setting goals which are meaningful and without regret. So I’m going to look at the end goal in a different perspective.
