In 2009 Barbara Morello contracted the Swine flu, or the H1N1 virus. It is estimated that the virus effected between 700 million and 1.4 billion people worldwide and killed between 150,000-575,000 people. Barb's story is very illuminating in the way the virus can be caught and the numerous interactions that led her eventually to be taken to hospital and given very little hope of survival. What happened next was truly a miracle and relevant for today's times in many ways.
I helped Barb write her book about her experiences and you can find more In God's Waiting Room online and at www.ingodswaitingroom.net
Barb's life was transformed by her experience and she now runs a non-profit organization that helps women struggling with addiction. You can find out more about that at www.SeeHorseMiami.org.
