"Why procrastinating supports you"


Something i want to share is that I still have a loop to want to procrastinate. I have that engrained pathway to do so, but I choose to ask for help.


In this episode I talk about how procrastination serves you. Why is it that we procrastinate, and what we do in order to stop doing it. Procrastination is a harder thing to let go of, but it is possible.


In this episode we touch on:

  • Big game for you 
    • When your in burnout your more procrastinate 
      • Not in acceptance 
        • You have to be the one too see the loop 
          • Over achiever 
            • Trying to do too many things at the same time so I do nothing 
              • Are you seeing the consequences 
                1. Awareness 
                2. Plan
                3. Action 


                  4. Perfectionism -> Procrastination -> paralysis 


                  • Stuck in analysis paralysis 
                    • Wanting it to be perfect goes back to childhood 
                      • DONT MOVE AT ALL UNLESS ITS PERFECTION 
                        • OBSERVATION -What is it your afraid of doing 
                          • HYPOTHESIS - perception fear or survival fear 
                            • EXPERIMENT- what is the worst case scenario
                              • ANALYIZE - is this really the worst that could happen 
                                • OBSERVATION- focus on what you can control 
                                  • RESULTS- what is the objective truth/ how can you conquer the fear 
                                    • WE CAN NOT ESCAPE IT, BUT WE CAN REFRAME IT 


                                      • Takeaway + Action: Procrastination serves you in some way. Figure out what it gives you? Take a step to take action and do the one thing you have been avoiding the longest.
