How Rest Can Trigger Flight or Fight in the Body

This episode I share some reflections on my recent retreat (or un-retreat) in Sedona and the concept of rest and retreat.

I explore the idea that flight can manifest as being constantly distracted and busy, as a way to avoid feeling uncomfortable emotions. I also touch on the discomfort that arises when faced with the opportunity for pleasure and rest, due to the contrast between our desires for these things and our capacity to embrace them.
