Would you trust how you looked if you woke up and got ready for your day without relying on a mirror?

I know I wouldn’t – I rely on a mirror all day, checking for hairs out of place, something in my teeth, and making sure what I’m wearing is well-adjusted and covering what it should.

Just like using a mirror can keep us in check, relying on God's word keeps us in check by reminding us of areas that we need to clean up every day.

James 1:20-24 reminds us that we are to '𝒈𝒆𝒕 𝒓𝒊𝒅 𝒐𝒇 𝒂𝒍𝒍 𝒕𝒉𝒆 𝒇𝒊𝒍𝒕𝒉 𝒂𝒏𝒅 𝒆𝒗𝒊𝒍 𝒊𝒏 𝒚𝒐𝒖𝒓 𝒍𝒊𝒗𝒆𝒔, 𝒂𝒏𝒅 𝒉𝒖𝒎𝒃𝒍𝒚 𝒂𝒄𝒄𝒆𝒑𝒕 𝒕𝒉𝒆 𝒘𝒐𝒓𝒅 𝑮𝒐𝒅 𝒉𝒂𝒔 𝒑𝒍𝒂𝒏𝒕𝒆𝒅 𝒊𝒏 𝒚𝒐𝒖𝒓 𝒉𝒆𝒂𝒓𝒕𝒔, 𝒇𝒐𝒓 𝒊𝒕 𝒉𝒂𝒔 𝒕𝒉𝒆 𝒑𝒐𝒘𝒆𝒓 𝒕𝒐 𝒔𝒂𝒗𝒆 𝒚𝒐𝒖𝒓 𝒔𝒐𝒖𝒍𝒔. Although Monica wasn’t raised in a Christian home, God began laying the foundation for her ministry in her early teens. Monica shares with us how she learned the lesson found in James while her bathroom was in the middle of a remodel.
