How sleep habits may change as a person ages

Some changes in sleep habits are natural as people age, but some could signal medical issues. Upstate assistant professor of geriatrics Andrea Berg, MD, says a good seven and a half to eight hours of sleep is needed, and people who have trouble getting that amount should alert their health care providers. Berg goes over common medications that may have an impact on sleep and things people can do to improve their quality of sleep.
