Kamila Karamanova first arrived in China's eastern Shandong Province in 2009 as an international student from Kazakhstan and eventually decided to settle down in the country. She believes the Belt and Road Initiative is building a bridge of prosperity between her native land and adoptive home, and recently fulfilled a dream by sharing her story at the Shanghai Cooperation Organization Forum.
