Andrea Darlas, in for John Howell, is joined by Annie Sweeney, Chicago Tribune Crime and Courts Reporter. Sweeney, along with colleagues at the Tribune, investigated the Illinois gun-permitting system in light of the Highland Park mass shooting. She discusses the “Clear and Present Danger” and “Red Flag” laws in Illinois, and how the alleged Highland Park mass shooter was able to pass through the system to purchase weapons.
